Escape Velocity AI, Inc. ("Escape Velocity," "EV," "we," "us") operates Escape Velocity, a platform where teams of AI agents work across product, customer, and research workflows under your direction. This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. It governs the personal data we control - your account, billing, and usage information. The content you bring to the platform (your prompts, inputs, and work product) is processed on your behalf under our agreement with you, not for our own purposes; where you are a business customer, that content is governed by our Data Processing Agreement rather than this Policy. The platform is currently an invite-only beta.
1. Information We Collect
Account and authentication information. EV uses Google OAuth for sign-in, so we receive your name, email address, Google account identifier, and basic Google profile information, and we issue session tokens and cookies to keep you signed in. We do not receive or store your Google password.
Billing and payment information. When you purchase credits, our payment processor (Stripe) handles your card details; we do not store full card numbers. We receive and store limited billing information such as the card's last four digits, its type and expiry, your billing address, your tax identifiers where you provide them, and a record of your purchases, balance, and usage charges.
Usage information. As you use the platform we collect product analytics, event data captured automatically, anonymous and trace identifiers, and usage metering. This data lives in EV's own infrastructure.
Content you bring to the platform. This includes prompts, inputs, agent configurations, and work product you create, data from third-party tools you choose to connect, and, where you enable it, meeting transcripts and recordings you provide for analysis. Meeting content is sensitive; capture is gated and opt-in, and we process it only at your direction.
2. How We Use Information
We use your information to provide, operate, and secure the platform; to authenticate you; to run the agents and workflows you build; to meter usage and bill you; to prevent fraud and abuse; and to support you. When you connect a third-party tool, we use the data we access from that tool only to perform the work you have asked the platform to do on your behalf.
We use usage analytics to understand how the platform performs, to debug problems, to measure reliability, and to improve features. During the beta we rely heavily on this data to fix issues quickly.
3. Why We Process Data
Where data protection law requires a lawful basis, we process your information to perform our contract with you (providing the platform and processing your purchases), on the basis of our legitimate interests (operating, securing, debugging, and improving the platform, and preventing abuse), to comply with legal obligations (such as tax, accounting, and financial recordkeeping), and on the basis of your consent where we ask for it (for example, enabling optional integrations or meeting capture, and non-essential cookies).
You may withdraw consent for optional features at any time by disconnecting the integration or disabling the feature. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that already occurred.
4. AI Models and Your Content
To do the work you request, we route your prompts and content to large language model providers (for example, OpenAI and Anthropic) for inference. These providers process that content as our subprocessors, under their commercial and API terms.
Your content is yours, and we do not train on it. We do not use your content - your prompts, inputs, and work product - to train foundation models, and the model providers we route to do not train their models on it under the terms we use. If we ever develop our own models, we will not train them on your content unless you allow us to. The providers may retain content briefly to monitor for abuse and safety (for example, on the order of up to thirty days for OpenAI and a shorter default window for Anthropic; these windows are set by the providers and can change), and may review content for safety where their policies require it.
Separately, we use data about how you use the platform - usage, telemetry, and metering - to operate, secure, debug, and improve it. If in the future we use this product-usage data to train our own models, you will control whether your data is included, and we will tell you before we begin.
Because the platform builds and runs agents, an agent you create may, at your direction, take actions through connected tools and third-party services on your behalf, such as sending messages or modifying data. You are responsible for the content you submit and for ensuring you have the rights and permissions to submit it and to connect the accounts you connect.
5. How We Share Information
We share information with service providers that process data on our behalf, under contract and only as needed to run the platform: cloud infrastructure (Amazon Web Services) to host and store data, a payment processor (Stripe) to handle payments, Google for sign-in, and the model providers described above for inference. Stripe also acts as an independent controller of certain data for its own fraud-prevention and legal-compliance purposes. The full list, with each vendor's purpose, the data it handles, and its location, is on our
Subprocessors page.
Apart from these subprocessors, your data stays within Escape Velocity's own infrastructure. Our product analytics run on our own systems - we do not send your data to third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We may disclose information if required by law, to enforce our terms, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of EV, our users, or the public. If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this Policy.
6. Google Sign-In
Escape Velocity uses Sign in with Google. Our use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. We use the name, email address, profile information, and Google account identifier we receive only to create and secure your account and to sign you in; we do not use it for advertising, and we do not sell it or transfer it to others except as needed to provide the platform or as required by law.
7. Cookies and Tracking
We use a small number of cookies. A session and authentication cookie keeps you signed in. Product analytics cookies and identifiers help us understand usage and improve the platform, and the analytics they feed run on our own infrastructure, not a third-party analytics service.
We do not use advertising cookies. In the UK and EU we ask for consent before setting non-essential cookies. You can control cookies through your browser, though disabling the session cookie will prevent you from staying signed in.
8. Data Retention
We keep personal data for as long as your account is active and for as long as we need it to provide the platform, comply with our legal, tax, and financial obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Usage telemetry and analytics are retained for a limited period sufficient for reliability and product work.
When you delete your account, we delete the personal data we hold for you, typically within thirty days, except records we are required to keep (for example, transaction and tax records) or data held in de-identified form. Backups are purged on a rolling schedule.
9. Security
We protect your data using encryption in transit and at rest, scoped access controls, and encrypted storage of third-party OAuth credentials. Our infrastructure runs on a major cloud provider in the United States.
No system is perfectly secure. We work to protect your information, but we cannot guarantee absolute security, and you are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials, API keys, and connected accounts secure.
10. International Data Transfers
EV is based in the United States and our infrastructure runs in the United States. If you access the platform from the United Kingdom, the European Economic Area, or elsewhere outside the United States, your information is transferred to and processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your location.
For these transfers we rely on appropriate safeguards, including the UK and EU Standard Contractual Clauses (and the UK International Data Transfer Addendum), together with, where applicable, our and our providers' certification under the EU-US and UK-US Data Privacy Framework. You can request a copy of the safeguards we use by contacting us.
11. EU and UK Representative
Where we are required to appoint a representative for individuals in the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area under applicable data protection law, we will do so and publish that representative's name and address here. If you are in the UK or EEA and need to reach our representative, contact us and we will direct your request.
12. Automated Decision-Making
We do not use your personal data to make solely automated decisions that produce legal effects about you or similarly significantly affect you. The platform generates AI outputs at your direction, but those are tools you evaluate and use; they are not automated decisions we make about you.
13. Your Choices and Rights
You can review and update your basic profile information, disconnect any integration you have connected, disable optional features such as meeting capture, export your data, and request access to or deletion of your personal data. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, port, or restrict the processing of your personal data, to object to certain processing, and to withdraw consent.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at
privacy@escapev.ai. We will verify your request and respond within the time required by applicable law, and we will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights. If we decline a request, you may appeal by replying to our response. You also have the right to complain to your data protection authority - in the UK, the Information Commissioner's Office.
14. US State Privacy Rights
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CCPA/CPRA), gives you the right to know what personal information we collect and how we use it, to access, delete, and correct it, and to limit the use of sensitive personal information. We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we have not done so in the preceding twelve months, so there is nothing to opt out of for those activities.
Residents of other US states with comparable privacy laws have similar rights, including a right to appeal a declined request. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at
privacy@escapev.ai. You may use an authorized agent to submit a request, subject to verification.
15. Children
The platform is intended for people who are at least 18 years old. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.
If you believe someone under 18 has provided us personal information, contact us at
privacy@escapev.ai and we will delete it.
16. Account and Data Deletion
You are in control of your data: you can export it and take it with you, and you can delete it.
Your Data walks you through both. To delete your account and associated personal data, email
privacy@escapev.ai from your account email, or use the in-product account deletion option where available. We will verify your request and process it within the time required by applicable law.
When you delete your account, we delete your profile information, your stored content and inputs, any encrypted integration credentials we hold, and your associated usage records, except where we are required to keep certain records (for example, transaction and tax records) or hold them in de-identified form. We retain only what is necessary and for no longer than required.
If you connected third-party tools, deleting your EV account does not delete data held by those third parties. You should manage or revoke access to those tools directly through their own settings.
17. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy as the platform evolves. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date and, where appropriate, notify you. We review this Policy at least once a year.
Your continued use of the platform after an update means you accept the revised Policy.
